Water & Power - Zine

$20.00

In making the photographs for Water & Power, Brandon Tauszik traversed the Owens Valley to document LA’s 400-mile network of ancient aqueducts and hydropower plants. Many of these sites have not been photographed since their construction over a century ago and still operate with the same original machinery. Although now supplying only a fraction of LA’s extensive power needs, these plants offer valuable lessons from the city’s engineering past that could help shape its clean energy future.

Includes an essay by Jenny Odell, a multidisciplinary artist and author of the New York Times bestseller How to Do Nothing.
